Consider for example six jobs in a company. The size of the jobs (as measured by job points) and the total annual salary paid to the jobholders are as follows:

As we would expect, the chart shows that total pay increases as jobs get 'bigger'. Our next step is to quantify the relationship between job points and salary for this company.
