The various levels of participation provide participants a range of choice to meet their specific information needs or budget. There are five participation levels:
Level A.
Level A represents the most economical and convenient way
for Councils to obtain comprehensive salary comparisons based on
Australia's largest database of Council salaries. Level A participants receive a
position description matched Contributor Report following each six-monthly survey update.
This Report shows for each job submitted by the participant a
comparison of all salary package components with the
corresponding analysis based on all Councils in the survey.
Comparisons are also given with Councils of similar annual
expenditure budget and with Councils in the same State as the
participant. Level A participants use the NRC
internet-based survey Data Management system. This secure, and strictly
controlled password protected system allows the participant to review their
survey data at any time.
In addition to the features of
Level A, Level B1 participants also have access to the comprehensive, on-line Survey Report covering all jobs surveyed. This option provides unparalleled
value for Councils that want a comprehensive view of where their
salaries stand relative to all other Councils on a job
description matched basis. Level B2 includes all the features
of Level B1, with the important addition of comparisons with the
NRC all-industries database for those participant jobs that are
common across all industries. All-industries comparisons are
provided in the Contributor
Report. This option provides unique value
for Councils that want a comprehensive view of where their
salaries stand relative to other Councils on a job description
matches basis, as well as with respect to the wider community in
which they compete for staff. Level C1 participants receive a Contributor Report based on both a job evaluated and position
description matched basis following each six-monthly survey
update. This Report shows for each job submitted by the
participant a comparison of all salary package components with
the corresponding analysis from all other Councils combined. The
comparisons are presented on the basis of job grade (as
determined by the job points), and on a position description
matched basis. Level C1 includes access to
the comprehensive, on-line Survey
Report covering all
jobs surveyed. Level C1 also includes the on-line Jobscore job evaluation.
This is the most cost effective option
available in the market today for Councils that include job
evaluation as part of their human resource management process.
Level C2 includes all the features
of Levels B1 and C1 with the addition of job evaluated
comparisons with the NRC all-industries database. The following table summarises the
