Training for the internet version of Jobscore will be at three levels, and a special commercial Consultants course will also be provided. Both regional and in-house training sessions will be arranged. A timetable for these sessions will be sent to you in due course, and will also be posted at the What's New section of the NRC's main website www.natrem.com.au.

The three levels of training are Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced. These, together with the commercial Consultants course and details of attendance charges where applicable, are as follows:

Introductory Level

Suitable for those who have never conducted job evaluation and wish to obtain an insight into the process and try some easier examples. Also suitable for those who are familiar with job evaluation and wish to experience a fully functioned internet-based job evaluation system.

This (afternoon) half-day course covers:

Familiarity with the internet is a pre-requisite for this course level.

Participation in this course is $150, plus GST. Each NRC job evaluated salary survey participant, and each other primary Jobscore licence holder with a current licence period of at least one month is entitled to one free attendance.

Afternoon tea is provided with this course.

Intermediate Level

Suitable for those who need to evaluate jobs at all levels within an organisation.

This intensive one-day course covers:

  • A brief revision of the internet-based Jobscore system.
  • A tutorial in which jobs submitted by course attendees are evaluated; including the importance and use of job descriptions, organisation charts, and other supporting material specific to the jobs to be evaluated and in more general terms.
  • Establishing template evaluations for use as starting points for other evaluations.
  • Setting up grade structures and assigning jobs to grades using Jobscore,

The Jobscore introductory course is a desirable pre-requisite for this course level.

Participation in this course is $350, plus GST. Each NRC job evaluated salary survey participant, and each other primary Jobscore licence holder with a current licence period of at least three months is entitled to one free attendance.

A sit down luncheon and morning and afternoon tea is provided with this course.

Advanced Level

Suitable for those who wish to use job evaluation as a major organisational tool, or consult in job evaluation at an advanced level.

This one-day course covers:

  • A tutorial in which complex job scenarios are evaluated.
  • Setting up template evaluations for job families.
  • Customising Jobscore for application to specific job families and industries.
  • Setting up market salary comparison sets.
  • Benchmarking Jobscore with other evaluation systems - a general methodology.

The Jobscore introductory course is a pre-requisite for this course level, and the intermediate course is desirable.

Participation in this course is $250, plus GST. Each NRC job evaluated salary survey participant, and each other primary Jobscore licence holder with a current licence period of at least three months is entitled to one free attendance.

A sit down luncheon and morning and afternoon tea is provided with this course.

Consultants

This course is designed to explain the features that have been built into Jobscore to facilitate its use by consultants in a commercial situation.

This (afternoon) half-day course covers:

  • A brief revision of the internet-based Jobscore system.
  • Description of the Jobscore licensing system and user permissions.
  • Sharing evaluations with clients - and the internet-based evaluation committee.
  • Jobscore training and support to clients.
  • Setting up template evaluations for job families.
  • Selling Jobscore and corresponding market salaries, and NRC selling support to consultants.
  • Time-based charges for consultant use of Jobscore.

Participation in this course is $150, plus GST. Each primary Jobscore licence holder with a current licence is entitled to one free attendance.

The Jobscore introductory course is a pre-requisite for this consultants' course.
