Job Brief

Reports to: Senior Scientist or senior operational position
Job Purpose: Undertakes or supervises research, development or testing activities to provide solutions for fundamental or applied research problems or process problems.
Activities: #Contributes to definition of objectives, approaches and projects through input of relevant scientific knowledge. #Ensures required scientific solution is achieved by applying accepted scientific methodologies, and satisfy scientific criteria by applying validity tests: are completed on schedule by exercising basic project control. #Supervises laboratory technicians and less experienced team scientists and secures support services by liaison with other work areas and functions. #Publishes papers and reports.
Qualifications: Graduate scientist with at least 5 years experience in a related area.
Titles: Scientist, Research Officer, Chemist, Biochemist, Physiologist, Botanist, Forester, Ecologist
