Job Brief
Job Purpose: Directs marketing and sales activities for a larger company or division.
Activities: Typically: #Development of marketing and sales strategies, plans and budgets for the
current year and subsequent years. #Development of staff and organisation of activities to meet
current and future requirements. #Development of customer contacts at the most senior level.
#Negotiating deals with major customers. #Monitors and reviews sales and marketing performance.
#Assistance in establishing company policies as a member of the senior management team.
Qualifications: Usually requires tertiary qualifications, a sound appreciation of marketing, plus
extensive marketing and management experience.
