Job Brief
Job Purpose: Undertakes laboratory assignments and tasks to support research and development projects,
testing and investigative programs.
Activities: #Supports project activity by setting up laboratory materials, specimens and equipment for
tests and experiments. #Contributes to conduct of experiments and tests by undertaking basic procedures
and measurements. #Supports research and other staff by formatting experimental and test data and
analysing results. # Undertakes basic laboratory safety and housekeeping procedures.
Qualifications: Usually secondary science qualifications and a technical certificate or concurrent
study towards a technical or tertiary qualification.
