Job Brief
|
Reports to: Principal Engineer or Senior Engineer
Job Purpose: Undertakes and supervises drafting assignments to support engineering design and projects.
Activities: Typically: #Contributes to definition of drafting specifications and tasks. #Assigns work to
subordinates and sets technical standards. #Produces design layouts. #Undertakes detailed design work for
more complex tasks. #Updates designs, drawings, documentation and worksheets as required. #May facilitate
project estimating by producing bills of materials. #Documents changes to engineering drawings.
#May prepare operating and maintenance instruction manuals.
Qualifications: A drafting certificate or equivalent, and 5-7 years experience. Will have experience of
design packages such as AUTOCAD or VersaCAD.
