Job Brief
|
Reports to: A more senior engineering or technical position
Job Purpose: Supports effective research, design, construction, operations and maintenance of equipment and
installations.
Activities: Typically: #Prepares , interprets, inspects and revises drawings, plans, diagrams, designs, maps
and charts. #Performs complex calculations, and field and laboratory tests. #Installs, tests, repairs and
modifies electrical, mechanical and other equipment. #Estimates materials costs and quantities.
Qualifications: Usually 2-3 year associate diploma or a post trade qualification.
Titles: Engineering Technician, Engineering Associate, Design Draftsperson, Tool Designer, Testing Technician
