Job Brief
|
Reports to: Head Librarian, Librarian
Job Purpose: Contributes to the effective and efficient use of the library and its resources to support ready
access to information.
Activities: #Issue library items to borrowers, sort and shelve returned items; maintain associated records.
#Examine returned items for damage; may undertake minor repair work. #Record and review overdue items; issue
overdue notices, collect overdue fines. #Issue borrowers' identification cards. #May assist in preparing
promotions and displays. #Provides location and retrieval of material as directed. #Provides user education
in use of library resources.
Qualifications: An acceptable qualification in Librarianship or at least one years relevant experience.
Titles: Library Officer, Library Attendant, Library Clerk
