Job Brief
Job Purpose: Oversees the running of the payroll department to ensure its accurate and timely functioning.
Activities: #Oversees the running of the payroll. #Prepares payroll and related records for
employee salaries and statutory record keeping purposes. #Accurately maintains records with
respect to hours worked, pay rates and leave taken, overtime, promotions, and any variations
thereto, and ensures that the personnel database is maintained accurately. #May interpret
industrial awards. #Manages Superannuation requirements. #Carries out deduction reconciliations.
Qualifications: Several years experience as a Payroll Officer, possibly with an accounting qualification.
Titles: Payroll Manager, Payroll Supervisor, Paymaster/mistress
